Review: 'A Midsummer Night's Dream' a bit familiar, but still good

Thursday, June 24th, 2010

It seems that everything old is new again, a saying that rang true as the Idaho Shakespeare Festival opened its 34th season on June 5 with a remounting of director Charlie Fee's magical mystery “A Midsummer Night's Dream.”

A Q&A with Eduardo Placer: Puck in 'A Midsummer Night's Dream'

Shakespeare Gets Groovy – Idaho Press Tribune

Friday, June 11th, 2010

BOISE — Even among William Shakespeare’s numerous comedies, “A Midsummer Night’s Dream” contains comedic power with few rivals. And this year, the Idaho Shakespeare Festival has presented a smart and side-splittingly funny version set not in ancient Athens, but in the 1960s.
